ELLIOT NESS (5) finished out of the money but was not too far away when resuming last start over 1100m at this track. Races well when second-up. Well-placed to turn things around. SURREY HILLS (2) led to the turn over 1200m at this track last time out but faded to finish seventh. Reunites with Seow who has two wins when on board. Should be in the finish. JULY (7) produced a reasonable effort when third last start after being in the firing line on the turn over 1400m on turf, beaten 1.1 lengths. That followed a win at this track the start prior. Likely improver with strong prospects. BOSS PHAN (1) missed the placings when resuming two runs back then didn't do any better last start when 9 lengths away in 12th over 1400m on turf. Finds a nice race and can bounce back.
