Extreme Emotion and Kessler can set the pace from the outset. ARIARNE (2) has been sent out as favourite in her last 3 starts and since clearing her maiden on this track she has been runner-up on a further 2 occasions, including her last start 3 weeks ago. She cops a wide gate this time and has to carry her full carded weight with senior hoop Adam Nicholls in the saddle but should still be the one to beat. EXTREME EMOTION (6) looks to be heading back into winning form after a last-start second here 3 weeks ago when finishing less than a length behind the winner. Jarrod Todd sticks with her and so do we. KESSLER (3) has gone close to breaking through for his first local win on a couple of occasions including his last start here when runner-up. He will be peaking third up and another honest race can be expected. Each way. ALFIERI (5) whacked away to finish third last start and could be on his way back into some genuine form again. The pole position will suit him and he is worth including in all combinations. SUGGESTED PLAY: Ariarne on top.
