Little early speed means Southern Speed and My Determination will find themselves in leading roles. MY DETERMINATION (5) had been rock-solid with three placings in a row before finishing sixth over 1600m at this track last start. Better than the last run suggests and definitely worth following up back to 1400m. VITTORIA PERFETTA (2) ran below expectations last time on the all-weather, finishing fifth and beaten 3.5 lengths starting at $4. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time. TANTHEMAN (7) progressed nicely last time out to finish just half a length from the winner in second over 1200m at this track. Looks ready for the extra 200m and can play a major role. SMOKE AND MIRRORS (3) has been in the money at his last couple of runs, the latest when third over 1400m at this track. Must be included in calculations.
