Expecting Kai Mondo to take up the lead at a genuine tempo. Competitive. KAI MONDO (5) was backed off the map, winning his Maiden by 8L and then was on speed again, narrowly beaten at this level. Draws well and keeps a handy 3kg claim. Just has to run the extra 100m to go close. OBLIGATED (1) won heavily bet this grade at Mackay and is a second-up winner with more in the tank. Butler stays aboard, and he's a decent chance to repeat the dose. SCRUB CHAIN (2) resumes and has plenty of ability. He's proven fresh and ran a hat-trick last preparation before the form tapped off. Is likely to handle the conditions and should be right in it. ELECTRIC BRAE (7) will be fitter, and can fill out the first four. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Kai Mondo.
