Chief White Sock and Super Sharp can pave the way. BEAU FACTOR (1) is racing his way back into some decent form and was a sound runner-up at Tennant Creek 2 weeks ago. He has won 5 of his 9 starts on this track and can go one better in a small-sized field. CHIEF WHITE SOCK (3) went close to winning last time out 4 weeks ago when hitting the front in the home straight, before being bloused on the line, finishing second by a head. He drops 2.5kg for this and can take it out. SQUARE CUT (2) seldom runs a bad race and can make the most of the pole position. He meets the right field and is good enough to win a race like this. CHUCKAMICKY (4) will be chasing a hat-trick of wins and will drop 3.5kg in weight with a rise in class. The small field will give him every chance to complete the task. SUPER SHARP (5) won fresh up when making his local debut here in February, and if he doesn't find 1000m too sharp for him, then he too has winning claims. SUGGESTED PLAY: Beau Factor to win.
