Thorny Issue should lead but there are a few other speedy types who can keep him honest. THORNY ISSUE (8) is having his first run since March 22. Has never missed the top-three at the start of his campaigns, and he did win over 1800m at Nakayama Dirt at the start of last prep. Will be tough to beat. LE CHEVAL D'OR (5) returned from a spell two weeks ago when he was beaten 6 lengths into fourth over 1800m at this track. Second-up record is very strong. Fitter so anticipating a better run this time. POD LOGO (10) has been in the money at his last two outings, finishing second last start over 2100m at Tokyo Dirt. Should measure up again. IN THE MOMENT (11) was beaten 4.5 lengths into ninth over 1800m at Kyoto last time out. Has his share of ability and is a top-three prospect.
