Keen speed battle, with Hurricane Flight, Winter Glade and Q For Love prominent. PROMISE OF FIRE (3) tried hard when finishing second of eight over 1400m at Greyville last time. The blinkers seem to have done the trick and she should have no issues with the rise to 1600m. From her good draw of three, she can go one better. FINE WINE (2) made the natural improvement when third over 1200m last time. She is a progressive type and is one of the leading contenders. SCARLETT HEART (4) is lightly raced with fair form lines to her name. The daughter of Querari should be at home over the extra furlong and she should have a say in the outcome of this event. ROYAL MERMAID (14) has shown good improvement in her last two starts. She rallied late when third over 1800m at Greyville last time. Athandiwe Mgudlwa should give her all the necessary assistance needed from the saddle.
