From the wide stall Generale should cross and lead. NOVA EXPRESS (9) is a promising galloper who resumes from a break. Last raced when second over 1200m at Nakayama Dirt ten weeks ago which was the only run of that prep. Expect a bold showing. STEELBLUE (5) finished fourth when resuming from a spell for a new stable and tackling a dirt track for the first time at this track over 1400m last start. Should camp just off the leaders. Will prove tough to beat. GENERALE (11) started at $7.50 last time and ran below expectations, finishing fifth and beaten 10 lengths at Niigata Dirt over 1800m after being in the firing line on the corner. Nicely placed to turn things around. MIDNIGHT LUSTRE (14) was out of the money when resuming from a spell last start over 1400m at Chukyo Dirt, beaten 4.5 lengths. Strips fitter and should be thereabouts.
