Daytona Pete and Catch Carter have the pace to take up the running at a solid tempo. WIND AND THE LION (1) will be better for the first-up run where he just found them too quick over 1000m. His best work was late in that race and the rise in trip is a big tick. He won the Placid Ark off a similar set up in the Summer and he appears the main danger. DAYTONA PETE (3) was only fair last start but gets the blinkers on now third-up into the campaign. Still has upside and can challenge the top two. POND MASTER (4) went close last week despite the barrier not opening at the same time as his rivals. Back to this trip but won't be far away. EARTHSTORM (6) will be better for the fresh run and can be right in the finish. SUGGESTED PLAY: Wind And The Lion can go one better.
