Not a great deal of pressure likely in the small field, with Stella Bystarlight a potential leader. STELLA BYSTARLIGHT (3) did not do much when trained in Victoria but has since improved since shifting to the local Ray Viney stable. She has been placed at this level and could well be suited by the step up from 1000m to 1400m. On top. HONG KONG FIGHTER (4) has been struggling for form and has the blinkers back on. He has been freshened up, and maybe Sonja Logan can help coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most. MUSELET (2) broke a long win drought by scoring an easy win at Tennant Creek 2 weeks ago. He has yet to fire over this trip, but this field is not strong, and she can double the dose. BECQUEREL (1) resumes from a spell and usually takes a run to get ready. If he doesn't need it, then he is capable of taking this out. DEPENDENCY (5) is still a maiden but has a fitness edge over some of her rivals and can beat a couple home here. SUGGESTED PLAY: Stella Bystarlight to win.
