Strong tempo with Merchant Of Greece, Hayhat and Ryanman leading the way. MOCKRIDGE (7) spikes his figures third-up beaten 1L at Pakenham. Surprised the market, but it was a promising effort. Maps well and with the extra fitness, should have these covered. MERCHANT OF GREECE (6) led and missed narrowly at Kilmore before spelling and was expected to go close at Moe first-up but disappointed (vet cleared). She's jumped out well and fitter, can get back on track. RYANMAN (9) led and held on the place at Kilmore. He has more to give, but a wide gate has to be managed. SMART MOVES (10) was only beaten 1.4L at Kilmore, and can build on that. HEEZ DE MAN (4) was well in the market at Mornington on debut but was plain (vet cleared). A better effort is likely with that under the belt. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Mockridge.
