BODMIN BOY (1) was an overdue maiden winner here when racing in this company in his penultimate start and then finished third at Tennant Creek 2 weeks ago. Dropping back from 1200m to 1100m will suit him, and he will be hard to hold out. ONLY THE BEST (2) has been freshened up since her last start here nearly 8 weeks ago. The small field will help him, and he can bounce straight back into form here. BON'S A LAD (4) will be making his local debut and is still a maiden. This field is not strong, and the market will be your best guide. SUPERIOR POWER (5) can run the odd good race, but it has been a long time between drinks for this fellow. He might need this run. JACKSET (3) will have no concerns with his fitness after having 4 starts back from a spell. He could beat a couple home in here with the right run. SUGGESTED PLAY: Bodmin Boy to win.
