MON CHERI (12) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a strong race when fresh from a spell last time out, finishing second and beaten only 2.5 lengths over 1400m at this track after being in the firing line on the corner. Has started two times at this course and distance and is yet to miss the placings. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. NIHONPIRO CARAT (7) raced handy and was game last time when beaten a head into second over 1200m at this track. Has good early speed so should take up a forward position. Best form puts him right in this. LONGCHAMP QUEEN (16) has a moderate winning strike-rate but did a good job when returning from a break last time at this track, finishing second and only one length from the winner at the end of 1400m after being prominent at the turn. Has started four times at this course and distance and is yet to miss the placings. Definite contender. WATER LEADER (3) turned in a decent effort here last start and is also in the mix.
