Tricky one to map with a large contingent of first starters but expect good early pressure. The 2YO's kick off the day and SILENT DIVA (2) comes into this on the back of a very impressive debut win. She sat back there and was far too good, scoring by 0.5L. She maps well down the straight course to sit just off the speed and she's expected to be finishing off strongly once again. IN CONFIDENCE (8) won her debut in different style, sitting on the speed over 1200m and being too strong to score by 0.7L. She'll sit on the speed from the favourable outside barrier for the straight course. Should give them something to chase up front. BABY PEARL (3) just couldn't hold on when leading on debut and was spelled following that effort. He's trialled well coming into this and it wouldn't surprise to see him return in top order. SOUND OF SPEED (4) comes through a sharp trial leading into this and the booking of CJP is a tick. Worth including. KANAS MTOTO (6) has shown enough at the trials to suggest he can run a bold race on debut. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Silent Diva in the opener.
