Pace a scorcher, headed by New Forest, Precision Goal and Charming Steed, closely followed by Spangle Fortune and Fashion Legend. PRECISION GOAL (5) is knocking on the door of another win, beaten 2.3L over this track and trip 21 days ago. Hugh Bowman replaced the apprentice hoop in a good push for his chances and the better draw is a big tick for him. Can be up front and should give them something to catch. FASHION LEGEND (4) got the job done here three starts ago and was favourite in the same race Precision Goal comes through. He led in the straight there but just faded on the run. Purton takes the ride now however and a return to his best would see him hard to hold out. MEEPMEEP (9) got the job done two back before rattling home last start, finishing only 0.5L off the winner. The wide draw suggests he'll get back again and while he was beaten a long way in a recent trial, his work was rather strong there. Expected to be right in the finish again. NEW FOREST (1) drops back in grade today and has performed well on this track in stronger company previously. Can play a major role.
