GOING: H(8)

OZTECH SECURITY CG&E MAIDEN PLATE 1300m

Track: HEAVY 8   Clouds (Max: 18)   Rail: True.

Limburg is expected to lead at a slick tempo. HOMERIC (1) sneaks out in trip after finding good gears late in the race first up. Pushing towards a win soon. RIGHTEOUS LEGEND (4) has been bridesmaid twice since resuming on similar surfaces. Genuine animal with serious claims. VETWELVE (7) stuck on well after hunting up from a wide gate in latest. At a similar trip back to provincial level can find further improvement. LIMBURG (2) flopped as favourite last start in the perfect target race. Strips fitter but is a take on trust option. SPIV (6) bounced back to form with a third place run at Wyong. Further improvement can see him in the finish. SUGGESTED PLAY: Homeric win.

First starter by Stratum Star - Endearment. Has run a number of unimpressive trials prior to his debut today. Not seen on the track to assess positively. Hard to have here barring a strong move in the market given trial form.

Was well in the market at debut, 6th of 8 at this track Cg&E Mdn on May 17 over 1200m, on a slow track; 6 len behind Pick Up The Tab carrying 56.5kg at $5. Will take a lot from that hitout and shapes as one to consider.
