Moderate tempo with Spanish Kat leading the way and a few others keeping in touch. DEVILS I (1) was runner-up for a new trainer here 2 weeks ago and will be better for that run. He was sent out favourite that day over 1200m and with an extra furlong on offer here, he can set the record straight and go one better. Follow your money. WESTERN IMPACT (7) had already run his race before the start when resuming from a spell here a fortnight ago. He has a more experienced apprentice in the saddle this time and can improve quickly. Include in all multiples. AWESOME LILY (6) had a torrid trip here 2 weeks ago and understandably weakened in the run home. She gets a big swing in her draw this time, and can bounce straight back into the money here. WEATHER QUEEN (3) needed her fresh-up run here a fortnight ago, and will carry 4kg less this time. She was good enough to win her only race on debut, and she can figure in the top 3 here. OUR LITTLE GEM (5) won her maiden at Geraldton nearly 4 weeks ago and won't find this much harder. Stick with her. SUGGESTED PLAY: Devils I to win.
