HIGGINS COATINGS TOOWOOMBA BENCHMARK 62 Handicap 1000m

Track: Soft 5   Rain (Max: 15)   Rail: +5m Entire. (Pent: 6.00)

Miss De Blaas should find the front with Rose Noir and Inatick on her heels. ROSE NOIR (3) won here in April by over 3 lengths and has been close up in a couple of subsequent starts, including his last run as favourite on this track a fortnight ago, when finishing second. She has 2kg less to carry, and can take this out. DRANG A TANG (2) made some solid progress last prep and looked ready to rumble when finishing second at a recent trial at Warwick. He has a few tricks behind the start at times, but comes to hand quickly, and will be among the hardest to beat fresh up, especially with the aid of a 3kg claim. WANTSOMEMOREOFIT (10) revelled in the wet ground when winning her maiden here 2 weeks ago over 870m. She was in the right part of the track that day, and is a chance again, if the track is wet again. INATICK (4) went down fighting by a head after leading here 3 weeks ago. He should love the drop back from 1200m to 1000m, and can take them all the way. HEROIC CHIEF (1) is a very handy performer at this level and beat the top pick last start. Go again. SUGGESTED PLAY: Rose Noir to win.
