Just a small field but Augusta Rosso, Silva City and Barolo can ensure the pace is genuine. GOLDEN PALM (4) is shooting for a hat-trick following a strong win over 1160m at Turffontein Standside last start when sent out as the favourite. She showed good speed, found another kick and raced away to score an easy victory. It must be noted that the runner who placed second in that last run has since come out and won. She jumps from an inside draw and looks hard to beat. AUGUSTA ROSSO (1) is a stablemate of the top selection. She ran a fair race to finish fifth of eight over 1200m at this track in a Listed event last start. She should appreciate the extra 200m on offer here and is worth an each-way ticket. BAROLO (2) after placing second in both of her two previous runs scored a big win as the hot favourite last time out at Fairview All Weather over today's distance. Jumping from the inside draw can repeat the dose. FIERY COUNTESS (3) is a lot better than her last start run for fifth of eight over 1200m at this track would suggest. Jumps from a handy draw and is in the mix.
