Genuine tempo from Chakado leading Blacklist. CHAKADO (1) looks the one to beat. He resumed over this route in a similar affair and proved too strong, leading throughout to score by 1.3 lengths. Up 2kg in weight but that should be offset by the fitness gains and he'll take a power of catching again. DRAMATICUS (7) presents here third up having improved nicely last start at Bendigo when finding the line well over 1300m. Now gets to a mile which will suit the son of Lope De Vega, and they may look to press the button and surge forward from out wide. ITSUKUSHIMA (4) is an honest type, racing well. Stuck on well behind Chakado here last time and will give backers a sight as usual. SHOELESS (10) has won two in a row in a rare purple patch of form. Have to respect now. BLACKLIST (13) was a dominant maiden winner when last seen having always promised ability. Skips a couple of grades but isn't out of this. SUGGESTED PLAY: Chakado to win.
