G T AMOUR (5) sets the standard after closing last campaign with consecutive Urawa wins, the latest as an odds-on favourite when beating Kuu Lei Nani by a neck. His overall record, course figures and proven rider combination give him the strongest profile, though he resumes after four months. AIR SHALLOW (8) is the logical danger, having won a 3yo+ C2C3 here last start by just under a length after being well found in betting, and his track-and-distance record is reliable. STRONGEST (13) appeals as the value threat after resuming with a third at Kawasaki at outsider odds, especially with a solid place record over the past 12 months. OUROBOROS (6) has not been winning, but the head second two runs back keeps him in the mix for exotics if he rebounds from his latest fifth.

The class drop and past track-and-trip win are positives, but she resumes needing a stronger finish than she showed last time in. |

His 45% career strike rate, excellent Urawa record and strong Tsubasa Sasagawa combination make him the runner they have to beat if ready fresh. |
