Valstar is the likely leader and should be able to get there comfortably. SALACIA PRINCESS (6) is a limited performer who is meeting a very modest field, and if she can run up to her third place finish at Riccarton on the poly track there in her penultimate start, then she would go close to winning this. VALSTAR (1) has continued to improve with racing, and was only beaten by a nose at Wingatui last time out. She can go one better this time. POPSICLES (9) makes her South Island debut, after not showing much when trained in the North. She has the winkers on for the first time, and is worth including if there is any market support for her. DANIELLISH (8) has had many chances, but did place over this trip last season. She should be getting stronger all the time, and we like her as a value hope in this. GASGAL (5) has been racing a lot more consistently lately, and with the right run, she can figure in the finish again. SUGGESTED PLAY: Daniellish each way.
