Good tempo with several going forward, primarily Nefer Asti, Bellagio Phantom and Picasso Jasper. VIP JOIE (8) gets the nod after producing the clearest last-start statement, putting seven lengths on Peptide Plata over 1500m at Nagoya. She does rise to 1800m and carries 55kg after 52kg there, but that win gives her strong claims if she repeats it. BELLAGIO PHANTOM (9) is the obvious danger, having beaten Picasso Jasper by five lengths over 1580m at Kasamatsu as a short odds-on favourite, and his track and jockey records read very well. PICASSO JASPER (4) arrives off a win here and has never missed a placing at Kasamatsu, though the 1800m rise is the fresh test after that earlier defeat to Bellagio Phantom. NEFER ASTI (6) was below market expectations at Nagoya last start but her overall record and strong Kasamatsu numbers keep her in the conversation, provided she sees out the longer trip.

A past track-and-trip win helps, but she needs to turn around form with several stronger rivals. |

The previous Nagoya run came over 2100m and does not provide a clean push for this. The jockey record is a positive, yet his 1800m statistics leave him needing a clear lift. |

Her local placing record is respectable, but resuming against fitter, stronger profiles makes this a stern test. |
