GABBY'S D'ETOILE (8) brings the strongest last-start reference, having broken through at Mizusawa over this trip by three lengths from Expectant. The sharp turnaround from a plain Chukyo Dirt run is the only point to keep in mind, but she is already a track-and-trip winner and sets the standard. LEON ANTHA (1) has finished second at Morioka Dirt at her past two, most recently beaten a neck by Happy Karn, and the inside draw gives her a genuine chance to convert consistency into a win. STORM EYE (5) was safely held by Schnee Dream here but has been competitive enough this campaign and has the rider-horse record to keep her in calculations. BEE STUNNING (6) was below her Morioka Dirt win last time, yet that four-length victory two back keeps her in the mix if she rebounds.

Unplaced at her only try at this distance, but she has the profile of a sound minor-money chance. |
