WAR CAT (2) is the proven alternative, having gone under by a nose to Peptide Avance here last start and boasting two wins and four places from eight starts at this track and distance. MARINO STIR HEART (3) was two lengths behind the same winner when third, after beating Super Party by a nose the run prior, so the recent Mombetsu form ties in neatly.
