Plenty of speed engaged with Janub, Prime Quality and Relaxante going forward ahead of Onnea and Siena Titicaca. PRIME QUALITY (12) sets the standard despite the wide barrier, having been third at Urawa last start when beaten just over two lengths by Ichimokusan and supported near the top of an open market. He remains a maiden, but his recent form reads better than most of these. ONNEA (4) is the clear danger after a sound Funabashi fourth over 1000m, beaten just under two lengths, and she also had the measure of Relaxante at Urawa about a month ago. RELAXANTE (2) is the more complicated runner: the odds-on failure behind Mundi was poor, but his previous Urawa third and strong track-and-distance place profile keep him in the winning mix. JANUB (3) resumes from a long absence with proven Urawa 1400m form and a solid overall record, though she must be sharper than when fourth behind Dancing Rascal.
