Despite the small field Asakusa Diana, Tosen Sigiriya and Bracion will set a genuine tempo. ASAKUSA DIANA (1) brings the most reliable Kasamatsu profile, having won here by two and a half lengths last start after sitting near the top of betting, and her record of two wins and one place from three starts at the track reads strongly for this. YAMANIN ELPHABA (4) is the clear danger after being beaten a nose here when heavily backed into very short odds-on territory, with her prior 3yo Maiden run at Chukyo Dirt also sound enough to respect. EVANS BAY (2) resumes after a four-month break and has the Chukyo placing over 1600m in the book, though the Tokyo failure leaves a query. TOSEN SIGIRIYA (7) won here last time at double-figure odds and owns a good track-and-distance record, but he has to prove that latest effort was no one-off.

YUKIYASU KATO 3YO BAY FILLY 55.0KG Motoko Sakurai Scored with authority at Kasamatsu last start, beating Kokorono Hikoboshi by two and a half lengths after letting down quickly. That built on a second here behind Tsukino Kobune when sent out short odds-on favourite, so her current form is easy to trust. She races handy, draws barrier 1 and has two wins and one place from three starts at this track, making her a major player again. |

YUKIYASU KATO 3YO DK B FILLY 55.0KG Shadai Race Horse Co. Ltd. Back from a four-month break after a plain 12th in a 3yo Maiden over 1600m at Tokyo, where she gave very little in the run home and was beaten over 10 lengths. Her previous third at Chukyo was much better, closing strongly to be beaten a length and a half by Rouge Lyric. The return to 1400m is the question, but she has enough early-career placing form to be considered for the minors. |

MASAHARU FUJITA 3YO BAY COLT 57.0KG Kentaro Yui Finished last at Kasamatsu most recently and was unwanted in the market, conceding a huge start before never getting into the race. Two back he did finish off from a hopeless position when fourth, but was still beaten six lengths by Aristocrat. His track-and-distance record offers a small counterpoint, yet he needs a much sharper overall performance. |

That followed a sound sixth in a 3yo Maiden over 1800m at Chukyo Dirt, where she picked up nicely and was beaten three and a half lengths. Still a maiden, but she is race fit, suited back here and has the right profile to press hard again. |

Her previous sixth here was weaker again, beaten over 14 lengths after offering little late. Two wins from five starts at this track and distance are respected, but current form leaves her with plenty to turn around. |

The run prior was also plain, beaten over 15 lengths behind Kaseno Soleil when unwanted in the market. There is some distance-based rating support, but her recent pattern makes her hard to trust beyond a rough minor hope. |

Two wins and one place from four starts at this track and distance keep him in the mix, though consistency remains the caution. |
