Not much early speed of note and Meisho Unabara and Cresco Taishi may find themselves setting a steady tempo. MEISHO UNABARA (4) looks the most reliable starting point. He was only fourth to Aloha Mau Loa last start, beaten six and a half lengths, but the run prior reads well after he was beaten a head by Daiboken at Sonoda and he has a strong track-and-distance profile. WISPY SNOW (3) is the clear danger after finishing fifth to Steel Sonic over 1230m, beaten just under two lengths as favourite, and her earlier fifth behind Elizabethtown came at big odds in a stronger-looking 3yo+ C2. HAGINO VERDON (5) is harder to assess fresh after two plain runs in 4yo+ C2 grade, yet his Sonoda 1400m record keeps him in the mix for a minor-money result. CRESCO TAISHI (8) must rebound from a last-start last to Ekvator, but his third to Malaika two back and solid track-and-distance numbers give him a place case.

The start prior was also plain, with another second-last effort behind Eifer Idol in 3yo+ C2 when never a factor. Still a maiden after 20 starts and unplaced in seven tries at this track and distance, so a sharp lift is required. |

She was seventh to Vomero in 3yo+ C2 last start, beaten over 13 lengths after being unwanted in the market, and had been beaten over 18 lengths by Io Sea One the run prior. The class drop helps, but she needs to turn her form around quickly. |

Her previous fifth to Elizabethtown in 3yo+ C2 was sound enough at big odds, and she is proven at this course and distance with two wins and seven places from 24 starts. Back to 1400m, she has the right profile to hit back strongly. |

The stronger reference is his second to Daiboken two back, when beaten a head at long odds after picking up sharply. With three wins and eight places from 19 starts at this track and distance, he sets a solid standard. |

His earlier eighth behind Valderrama was also plain, but he drops back from that grade and has two wins and two places from nine starts at this track and distance. The fresh run must be better, yet his home form gives him place claims. |
