Tamamo Hayabusa and Tovarisch to take up the running at a strong tempo. LOST BALL (2) brings the most reliable winning profile after an odds-on 3yo+ C1 success over 1400m at Morioka Dirt, backed by a narrow defeat the run before when again heavily fancied. The rise to 1600m is the clear question, but his current form and strong record with Reika Sekimoto make him the runner to beat. TOVARISCH (7) is the obvious danger after being beaten a nose here last start, and his three wins from five at Mizusawa give that performance solid substance, though he still has to put the mile away. SNOW PATROL (1) improved sharply when fourth here behind Sanei Brave and owns an excellent Mizusawa 1600m record, so she is a genuine threat if she repeats that closing effort. FEARLESS HEART (4) arrives off a last-start win at Morioka Dirt and has placed in all three Mizusawa runs, but he profiles slightly more as a place danger unless he reproduces that latest finish at B1 level.

HIROMICHI IIDA 6YO BROWN MARE 54.0KG Godolphin Improved from a plain Morioka run to finish fourth at Mizusawa last start, beaten six and a half lengths by Sanei Brave after making up good ground late. The start prior at Morioka was poor, when last and beaten over 16 lengths at big odds, but her seven wins and three places from 19 starts at this track and distance are hard to ignore. She still has to turn the tables on Tovarisch, yet this looks a suitable race for her to be highly competitive. |

TOMOKAZU TACHIBANA 7YO CHESTNUT GELDING 54.0KG Yasumitsu Ota Comes through a strong recent sequence, winning a 3yo+ C1 over 1400m at Morioka Dirt last start as a prohibitive odds-on favourite and beating Bianca by a length and a half. He had also been close when third to Hanaka Honoka two back, beaten just under a length as favourite. The step to 1600m is the main query, but four wins from five with Reika Sekimoto and a win from his only Mizusawa start give him a very solid winning case. |

Worked home from well back when sixth at Mizusawa last start, beaten just over nine lengths by Sanei Brave, but he was never really a winning factor. His previous fourth at Morioka Dirt followed a similar pattern, making late ground after looking no hope and finishing beaten over 10 lengths. The class setup helps, yet no wins and one place from 11 starts at this track and distance point more to a minor-money hope than a strong winning chance. |

That was a clear turnaround from his previous eighth to Daisen Rouge, where the final effort was only moderate after settling with plenty to do. His Mizusawa record of one win and two places from three starts is a genuine positive, but he needs to hold that latest form to be more than a placing chance. |
