A solid tempo anticipated with Pakara Pakara and Joy Green ahead of Shiny Blue and Rikea Linguine. PAKARA PAKARA (1) earns top billing after winning here last start in 3yo C2 company, scoring by half a length from Hapina Star at generous odds. The reservation is that his previous run at Morioka Dirt was plain when heavily backed at very short odds, but the return to Mizusawa clearly sparked improvement. G T HIRARI (5) has the most reliable recent two-run profile, winning strongly at Morioka Dirt before running second to Namura Degas, and the rider-horse record adds substance. SHINY BLUE (7) is the classier fresh question: she resumes after ten months with three placings from five starts and prior form around Aquanaut and Masano Lily, though she still has to convert. ANDERSTORP (8) comes off a decisive Morioka Dirt win over 1200m and deserves respect, but the rise to 1400m asks a new question after mixed earlier form.

Still a maiden after 10 starts and new to Mizusawa, so she shapes as a place prospect rather than a confident winning play. |
