Speed assured from Fast Impact, Sebastiano and Dujour pressing on ahead of Later Boy. ONE TRUE KING (3) needed the run fresh up at Riccarton when well found in the market, but the heavy track that day was no help at all. He cops a wide gate, but will strip fitter, and he should finish a lot closer this time, if not win. FAST IMPACT (1) made the most of a positive ride early when gripping on for a game nose win at Wingatui nearly 3 weeks ago. He will still be on the up with his fitness, and should hold his form now that he has broken through. KESSEY (5) built nicely to an impressive win on the Riccarton poly track 4 weeks ago over 2200m. Dropping back to 1600m is a query for us, but she still needs to be included in all top 4 combos. DUJOUR (11) made ground again last time out on this track and finished a solid third. Her bad luck with the barrier draws continues here, but she is still worth including in all combos. NEW BEGINNING (10) won't lack fitness after racing on the poly track at Riccarton through the winter, and she is also worth top 4 consideration. SUGGESTED PLAY: One True King each way.
