CAPTAINS ALLIANCE (4) has been thereabouts lately without being able to break through, the latest effort a second at Kenilworth over 1600m. Long overdue placing four of last five. Deserves a win and expected to go close. ROYAL INFLUENCER (5) was a strong winner last time over 2000m at Fairview All Weather, scoring by 1.3 lengths. Hard to fault winning last two including here two back. Take catching again. SIGNOR DANTE (6) closed last campaign with back-to-back placings, the last of which was at this track ten weeks ago. Speedy type resuming. Expected to run well. BOURBON KING (7) built on a nice third two starts back at Kenilworth with a win over 1600m at this track two months ago, getting home by half a length. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot score again.
