Boondocks should have enough pace to lead a low-pressure contest. MOONSHINE RUN (3) is knocking on the door of another win after a close third at Doomben in Saturday company. Steps back out to a winning trip and reunites with his regular rider who has built a strong association. LENNOX (2) is the obvious danger, freshened since finishing fifth here over 2400m behind Chillaxing. He eases from Saturday company and returns to a trip at which he won his only attempt. SLIPSAIN (10) needs to rebound after disappointing as favourite at Doomben, but his prior Eagle Farm third had merit after being held up. Mark Du Plessis has a perfect placing record on him. BOONDOCKS (5) is desperate to break through and should have enough early pace to cross from out there and give backers a bold sight. BECAMO (4) brings winning form from Sunshine Coast on soft ground. His splits suggest he will relish the added 200m, though he's yet to strike in two efforts over it. SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Moonshine Run.

Harder race and 1800m asks more, but the form gives him claims. |
