Genuine pace with Waves Leaps taking up the running ahead of Golden Comanche and Kyoei Hagoromo. WAVES LEAPS (6) is the clear starting point after winning both runs at Urawa in 3yo COND company, first by a nose from G T Pudding and then by a length from Fornacalia. The six-month break is the only real unknown, but his two-from-two record at the track and distance gives him the strongest profile. GOLDEN COMANCHE (7) has the race-fit edge and comes off a Urawa win by just under a length from Takaichi Shohei, though his seventh two back keeps a small query on consistency. KYOEI HAGOROMO (8) improved sharply when fourth at Kawasaki over 900m and returns to a distance where she has already won, with 51kg another useful factor. LAULEA (10) is harder to trust as a maiden from 18 starts, but her latest eighth was only beaten three and a half lengths and she is third-up with place-style credentials if the main pair leave the door open.

The seasonal form is plain, but his course profile keeps him in the minor-money mix. |

The move to 1400m is a genuine question, yet the class drop and his distance rating give him some place appeal if he improves sharply from those sprint runs. |

Proven at this track and distance and likely to race handy, he rates a genuine winning threat if the last-start version turns up. |
