Ryusei Kotei and Tsukino Kobune look to take it up. RYUSEI KOTEI (4) is the horse to beat despite a plain sixth at Kasamatsu last start, as he is third-up now and backed by the strongest stable and rider profile in the race. The maiden record is the obvious reservation, but this looks a suitable chance to improve. OGARU (3) brings the better overall record, with two wins and seven placings from 15 starts, and his Mombetsu form over 1000m reads better than the latest margin suggests. The rise to 1400m is the key test. TSUKINO KOBUNE (5) has stronger Kasamatsu 1400m credentials than most, including a win and three placings from seven attempts, and he has already finished ahead of Ryusei Kotei recently. HYPER CALL (6) is another proven track-and-trip runner and comes through a last-start placing, though he still needs to find more than he showed when beaten over 11 lengths.

The run prior was no better, beaten over 16 lengths by Lady Pegasus and unwanted in the market. She has won at this distance, but current form says others are entitled to stronger support. |

Capable of filling a minor spot if she lifts. |

His previous sixth to Atonimo Sakinimo was more competitive, beaten three and a half lengths when near the top of betting. The move to 1400m is the query, but his overall record gives him genuine winning claims. |

He had earlier run eighth in a 3yo Maiden over 1000m at Niigata, beaten just over six lengths after keeping on from well back. The maiden record is a concern, but this stable-and-rider pairing keeps him firmly in play. |

His second to Serval Mind over 1580m the run prior reads soundly, and he has a win and three placings from seven at this track and distance. He recently finished ahead of Ryusei Kotei, so the place profile is solid. |

A strong record with Tsutsui Yusuke and proven track-and-trip form keep him in the minor-money mix. |

Her track-and-distance record is genuinely good, but recent form must improve sharply before she appeals. |

One win from three at this track and distance and a good record with Seigo Tsukamoto are positives, but she still has improvement to find. |
