There should be a bit of pressure with Kowloon Magnate and Kalamia King pressing forward in advance of Crunch Time and Maremoto. MAREMOTO (11) was only beaten a neck in third at Newcastle two back when held up before closing strongly. Less impressive last time despite finishing second but is knocking on the door and doesn't need to improve much to finally convert. KOWLOON MAGNATE (5) is the clear danger after being pipped at Sunshine Coast on soft ground, and his placings across the border add further depth. KALAMIA KING (4) is in the mix after leading and tiring over 2224m at the Gold Coast. The shorter trip helps. CRUNCH TIME (3) improved at Dalby over 2000m and has a winning hope if the drop back to 1800m is no negative, though his prior Ipswich run was plain. SUGGESTED PLAY: Maremoto to win.
