ELAN (10) registered a strong win at Nakayama two runs ago. Decent effort last time out when fourth over 2000m at Tokyo, beaten 2.5 lengths. Nicely placed to give this a mighty shake. MEINER OCEAN (4) made considerable ground in the run home to finish third last start over 2000m at Tokyo. Yuji Tannai who has scored on him twice retains the mount. Expected to measure up. CATERINA (5) ran below expectations last start, finishing fifth and beaten 3.5 lengths at Hakodate over 1800m. Worth another chance.
