Slick tempo with Capiana to lead but under plenty of pressure in a keen early contest. Open race to close out the card. PICKAXE (2) will be fitter for a recent trial as he comes into this first-up. He rates highly on the form he showed last campaign, which indicated he was right up to winning a race of this standard. Gets the services of Thompson in the irons and although he's drawn out, he can get the job done. MINOR KEY (1) won well on debut and will have taken some confidence from that first-up victory. Can go back-to-back to start the career. EAGLE'S FIRE (6) goes well for Tomizawa who has a win and seven placings from 13 rides. Will be thereabouts. FINAL VOYAGE (9) is a last-start winner who shouldn't be underestimated. SUGGESTED PLAY: With Pickaxe in the last.
