Anticipating a solid early tempo with plenty of pace engaged. ALMA DE ORO (6) was prominent on the corner and battled on well to finish second last start over 2000m at Hakodate, beaten one length. Has his share of ability. Hard to beat in this suitable race. MY FAMILY (7) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a nice race last time out, finishing second and beaten only 1.5 lengths over 2600m at Hakodate after being in the firing line on the corner. Stepping up a level this time but on his best form he is good enough to take this out. SHINE BAOBAB (4) has put together back-to-back placings, the latest when 3.5 lengths away in third over 2600m at Kokura when he was always up in the leading division. Nicely placed to take this out. BOND LOA (8) got off the mark with an impressive maiden win last time out over 2400m at Hanshin. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Re-unites with N Yokoyama who was on board last start. This is tougher but he is capable of another big run.
