Expecting Blackfish to take up the running with Wolf Island and Ishikari close at hand. WOLF ISLAND (14) struck trouble at the start on resumption when a respectable fifth over 1310m at Moruya. Should come on quickly with the run and finds a winnable race. ISHIKARI (4) failed to sprint with them first up when a plugging sixth over 900m at Newcastle. Blinkers come off and the winkers go on. Big improver over this trip in this weaker contest. INITIATE (3) has a fitness edge over most of these and finds a winnable contest. Sat just off the pace when she kept finding through the line to run fourth over 1200m at Kembla Grange. Looking for the trip and ready to win. BLACKFISH (6) disappointed two back but was better last start at Pakenham. Now lines up for the Robb stable and she might represent some value back in grade. SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 14,4,3.
