Wonderboy has the pace to lead in what is likely to be a moderate tempo. WONDERBOY (3) ran out of condition fresh up on a very testing heavy track at Hawera nearly 3 weeks ago and will improve quickly second up. Opie Bosson will pick up the ride, and he is expected to be very hard to beat back on a poly track. SUNSHINE ALE (10) has finished third in both of her starts this prep, and has improved in each of them. She drops back into maiden company and should be among the hardest to beat. RELIABLE SQUEEZE (8) was beaten by a head fresh up at Ellerslie and then flew home late for second on the poly track at Cambridge just over 3 weeks ago. She is bred to improve with racing, and an extra 100m here could make all the difference. Stick with her. TIMEX (12) was not too bad on debut and will naturally improve second up. He drops back into maiden company and is worth including in all combinations in a very even contest. SUGGESTED PLAY: Wonderboy should have a say in the finish of this race.
