LURCH (3) has been a beaten odds-on favourite in his last couple of starts on this track, and was fourth when finishing less than a length from the winner 17 days ago. The step up from 1700m to 2140m is the key here, and he will be among the hardest to hold out. Follow your money. FREE SPIRIT (4) turned her form around with an emphatic win over this trip last time out. She usually holds her form when fit, and she won't find this any harder. On top again. SIR MIKKI (1) was a game third behind the second pick here last time out. He may not be the horse that he once promised to be, but he is still good enough to win a race like this. FINAL CHAPTER (2) was a beaten favourite in the same race as the second pick last start and did not have all favours that day. Jonathan Riddell will step into the irons, and the pair merits healthy respect. KAWATIRI (6) won here 3 starts back and has not been so good in a couple of starts after that. Bruno Queiroz sticks with her and so do we. SUGGESTED PLAY: Free Spirit will hold her form now and she has each-way claims again.
