Genuine tempo with the speedy Touch O'paradise leading the way. BRIAR (6) has been trying to win a race for some time and has finished third in her last couple of starts on this course. She cops a handy gate and is expected to be right in the finish again. JUSTKO PRINCE (8) has not shown much at the trials, but can be expected to improve come race day, as his astute stable usually has them ready to rumble early in their preps. Watch the market with interest here. VERARDINO (1) has found it hard to win another race and was well beaten over 2100m at Hawera fresh up on a very testing heavy track. He has been placed in 3 of his 4 starts on this circuit, and can figure in the top 3. ON ALERT (2) has been a touch disappointing since winning an overdue maiden here in June. She benefits from a 3kg claim and is worth including in all combinations in this modest contest. ROSIELICIOUS (4) has rough place claims. SUGGESTED PLAY: Justko Prince is worth having a look at, especially if there is any money for him.
