JAPAC HOMES POLYTRACK CHAMPIONSHIP 1400m Track: AW True |
||||
---|---|---|---|---|
Plenty of pace from Cosentino, Lhasa and Vittorio Veneto vying for the lead, with a few others keeping them honest. COSENTINO (7) has built up a decent record on the poly track here and won easily as expected here 17 days ago over 1000m. He tries 1400m for the first time, and cops a wide draw, but has plenty of upside, so stick with him. TEARS OF VICTORY (11) has led all the way to score at his last couple of starts, and has the right draw to take up the early running again. She has 3kg less to carry this time after a claim, and the hat-trick beckons. DOUBTFUL SOUND (4) missed a hat-trick of wins when finishing third at Riccarton 25 days ago and has won a Foxton trial since then. He is rock-hard fit and will be among the hardest to beat again. VITTORIO VENETO (8) led all the way and was far too strong, scoring by over 3 lengths. He has been lightly tried and looks to have more to offer. A wide gate is no help, but he is still on the up with his fitness, and another good run is on the cards. Each way. LHASA (1) has a terrific record on the Cambridge poly track, and has to be respected in this. SUGGESTED PLAY: A very even field, and every runner has a hope. We like Vittorio Veneto at some value.
