The pace should be on from the outset with Shigeru Shogun, Satono Ruffian and Sunday Funday pushing on from their low draws. SHIGERU SHOGUN (3) was far too good first up last start when he scored by 5 lengths over 1700m at Fukushima Dirt. Fitter for that last hitout and is all set to make it two-for-two this prep. Z LIEN (9) came home strongly last start to finish third, beaten one length, over 2100m at Tokyo Dirt when resuming after a spell. Reunites with Kohei Matsuyama who has two wins from four rides. Likely to feature. SUNDAY FUNDAY (6) finished 6 lengths from the winner in sixth last start over 1800m at Hanshin Dirt, an improvement on his eighth at Hanshin Dirt the run before. Finds a nice race and can play a significant role. SATONO PHOENIX (12) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 1700m at Fukushima Dirt, beaten 5 lengths. Well placed and can figure in the finish again.
