They should run this along with Shy Guy and Adachi taking it up over Romanesco Fresco.
JUST A NEEDS (2) does not win often, but is very consistent. She battled on strongly for third as an odds-on favourite in a 5-horse field at Hobart 2 weeks ago, and will produce another honest effort here as well. SHY GUY (4) has been racing in good form on the Devonport poly track recently and scored as favourite there 5 weeks ago. He is just as effective on the turf surface and should go close to taking this out as well. MOVEFORLEX (3) fought on gamely for fourth fresh up at Hobart 2 weeks ago and will be better for that run. He has 4kg less to carry this time, and can figure in the top 3. ADACHI (7) capped off some good form and a recent trial win with a hard-fought win on a heavy track at Hobart last week. He is up in grade, but down in weight, and can repeat. THE LONGEST YARD (6) has come of age recently and made it a hat-trick of wins when scoring by a nose as favourite on the Devonport poly track 3 weeks ago. He can take the next step here. Stick with him. SUGGESTED PLAY: Adachi has the ability to go on with the job.
