Genuine tempo with Glenbower and Valilee up front.
ETUDE (9) blew the start but was excellent through the closing stages first-up over this distance at Gosford, beaten under a length in a real eye-catcher. Handles the wet and with better gate manners today can break a win drought. HONEY PERFUME (5) continued her long run of minor placings when she charged home late but just ran out of ground over today's journey at Hawkesbury last time out. Certainly good enough but the bridesmaid tag is becoming a bit of a habit. MAGICAL MOMENTS (7) has been freshened up since a moderate effort in a 1300m BM72 at Randwick six weeks ago. Returned a figure on a soft track at Newcastle in December which eclipses anything her rivals have managed. Worth keeping in mind. VALILEE (2) could not have been more impressive on debut at Gosford recently, gapping his rivals over 1000m after showing good early dash. Looks ready for this tougher assignment. MAGICAL ELEGANCE (11) is up in class but capable of filling a top four spot. SUGGESTED PLAY: Etude just gets the nod in a good race.
