He is coming along the right way and jumps from a good draw of three. Rachel Venniker takes 1.5kgs off his back and he can go one better. CARNIVAL PARK (2) has improved in his last three starts. He should love the rise to 1800m and from his good draw of two, he may be involved in the fight to the finish. TWILIGHT WARRIOR (14) settled well back in the running then came home well in the straight and finished fifth of 12 last time out over 1600m at Scottsville when fresh-up from a spell. Steps up in trip today and can finish in the money. LUNAR DESCENT (9) finished sixth of 10 over 1600m last start at Scottsville. Racing over a longer trip is worth another chance.
