Strong tempo from Masatche Hammer crossing from an outside gate, with Steel Vogue also pushing up. MASATCHE HAMMER (12) pushed forward last time and boxed on to finish 1.3 lengths away in second over 1800m at Nakayama Dirt. Can cross from an awkward gate. Nicely placed to play a pivotal role. STEEL VOGUE (6) wasn't far off maiden success before a break of ten weeks, finishing the campaign with a minor placing over 1600m at this track. Ready to find winning form. STARTS TODAY (10) raced once in the maiden preparation when well supported but could only manage seventh at Nakayama Dirt over 1800m back on January 17. Top-three chance with that run under his belt. TWILIGHT VIEW (11) is a four-start maiden who returned last time and finished fifth at Nakayama Dirt over 1800m, beaten 3.5 lengths. Bold showing expected with added fitness this time.
