RUBY REX (5) resumes from a spell of seven months and looked close to a win before that break, finishing off with a minor placing over 1000m at Durbanville. Expect she has come on over the break. Rates on top and is a great chance to open the campaign with a win. TAKE THAT (3) showed ability at her only start back on October 5 when third over 1000m at Durbanville. Sure to have improved over the break and another bold showing is on the cards. SWIFT SERENITY (7) finished second last start over 1000m at this track to make it six minor placings from 11 runs. Goes well here with six top-three finishes to her credit. Strong chance. LOVE HER MADLY (6) was unplaced two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1000m at this track, beaten 4 lengths into fifth. Best efforts measure up so worth another chance.
